Every two years, choirs from across the Puget Sound gather for the Seattle Sings Choral Festival, a free community festival presented by the Greater Seattle Choral Consortium (GSCC). Over three days, more than 30 choirs will take the stage to share their voices, connect with one another, and celebrate the region’s vibrant choral community.
This year’s festival features the world premiere of “You Created a Song” by acclaimed composer Timothy C. Takach, inspired by a poem by Jodi Hills’ titled “A Song.” Takach will be in residence throughout the weekend, leading several Festival Sing sessions open to all with the opportunity for the audience to join in singing.
Founded in 2010, the Greater Seattle Choral Consortium is a nonprofit network of more than 100 choirs working together to promote collaboration, connect singers and audiences, and inspire the next generation of choral musicians. Learn more and find local choirs at SeattleSings.org.
